Malfunction in Tagging Preset Tester main dialog

Reported by: chrabros Owned by: team
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: Plugin tagging-preset-tester Version: latest
Keywords: Cc:

Description

Hi,
in the plugin Tagging Preset Tester:
when you enter something specific in the top filter line in the dialog
and there is only one preset matching this filter
then the right hand side of the dialog does not show the preset selected
and it is not possible to re-focus to get this preset displayed.

If there are two or more items displayed on the list
then you can switch there and back again to get it displayed properly.

It seems that when anything it entered into the filter line,
then the right hand side pane shoudl by updated immediately with the
content of the first item in the list.

Can not reproduced with latest.

@chrabros:
Could you test again. If it still happens, please, attach your Status Report plus tell us you search expression and the preset your are using.

Thanks

OK. It still does not work for me in latest version.
I start JOSM in English and I run Tagging Preset Tester immediately.
I search for something (for example "garage")
I see three results and I select first of them (Buildings/Garages)
Then I search for something which yields just one result (for example "silo").
I can see this one result, it appears to be selected but
in the right panel I still see the properties for Garage
and there is nothing I can do to see the properties of Silo.

Hope this helps.

Replying to chrabros:

Hope this helps.

Thanks.

Did not find the mentioned expression but was able to reproduce with defaultpreset as only installed preset.

Problem is the selection of first entry not the amount of entries in the list on the left side:

  1. start JOSM
  2. open plugin window
  3. select first entry on the left (Annotation/Address Interpolation)
  4. type z and find the first entry in list is still selected, though the name did change but not the right hand side
  5. try to select the first entry (which is already selected), in my case "zoo"
  6. nothing changes

By the way , I noticed that once you select an entry this entry is set on top of the list, which complete mixes the list when selecting lots of different entries in a row.
