Josm falsely reports 404 as internal server error

Description

"Der OSM-Server 'http://api.openstreetmap.org/api/0.6/' meldete einen internen Serverfehler. Dies ist höchstwahrscheinlich ein vorübergehendes Problem. Bitte versuchen Sie es später noch einmal."

The truth is:
jo@tab:~$ HEAD http://api.openstreetmap.org/api/0.6/
404 Not Found

It also claims the problem is temporary, which is less likely with a 404.

I missed the maintainance downtime message, so the problem is actually temporary. This means however the reported URL is nonsense.

Resolution: fixed
Status: newclosed

It must have been fixed in the meanwhile as a 404 error gives me an acceptable error message:

Change Properties
Set your email in Preferences
Action
as closed The owner will remain team.
as The resolution will be set.
The resolution will be deleted. Next status will be 'reopened'.

Add Comment


E-mail address and name can be saved in the Preferences .
