Description
When hiding certain objects in Josm with the filter tool (Alt-Shift-R), objects still get marked e.g. with Ctrl-a or matching search.
Happened to realize this when I worked with the license change plugin: Even completely hidden "bad" data gets a red overlay.

I don't think so. When I want to hide something, I really want it to disappear completely as long as the filter is active.
This could cause accidental vandalism: you hide a certain set of elements, do a search or select all (assuming that this will only select visible objects) and delete the result. It looks fine, but only until you disable the filter.
Yes, it is a bad idea to upload without checking and resetting all filters, but you simply don't expect this behavior. Still, it could easily ruin your local edits when you finally notice what you did.
Deactivating the objects may be an other case. This could by tolerated _when_ there is some indication that you have selected deactivated objects. Which currently isn't true.
