How to reproduce:
Start JOSM
open a GPX-File
download some data
try to select some of it
Here it is impossible to select data.
switching to drawing mode and back helps

Maybe related to #7039

java version "1.6.0_26"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_26-b03)
