osmarender plugin fails on null dataset

[methusalem]

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. remove all data layers but bing
2. start the osmarender plugin

What is the expected result?
Infomessage saying that a data layer is necessary for rendering.

What happens instead?
This error.

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
