If you use the add mode, push ctrl, shift or alt and move the mouse the mouse icon of the new selection visualisation (r4327) is wrongly shown for some ms.

Please provide steps to reproduce. There are a lot of icons and they they depend on what's already selected and what's currently under the cursor. It would help a lot if you could provide the data layer you were editing at the time, describe the cursor (or make a screenshot, if that works) and give the exact modifier key you were using and which primitive you were pointing to at the time. Recording a video might be easier than that, thoug.

Otherwise it's going to be hard to track down, because I don't know of any bugs and couldn't find any while checking. Then again, if it's only some ms my system might be just fast enough so I can't notice.

Confirmed: Open new layer, enter add mode, position the cursor on the map and press Ctrl -> cursor changes for a few ms.

several more fixes regarding the new selection highlighting introduced in r4327

  • properly unregister AWT listener in SelectAction (fixes #6749)
  • provide user feedback for merge-to-node feature (also fix #6748)
  • fix some repaint issues
