"Auto drawing"?

Is there any way to auto pick middles of lines, auto parallel lines, auto orthogonal mode, when adding ways?
Also is there any way to auto split 1 shape into 2 shapes (no terracer modules doesn't work for this, as the shapes/buildings are more complex).

Probably not, but please describe in more detail, what you like to have. Note that Modifier keys (Shift, Ctrl, Alt) are too overloaded already.

There is also BuildingTools plugin if you need fast-created rectangles, possibly aligned/orthogonal with other selected geometry.
