#6115 closed defect (fixed)

After deleting MapDust layer, can't create a new MapDust layer unless JOSM is restarted

Reported by: rickmastfan67 Owned by: jBeata
Priority: major Component: Plugin mapdust

Description

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Download this area: http://www.openstreetmap.org/?minlon=-85.4886964&minlat=37.8349625&maxlon=-85.4566578&maxlat=37.990743&box=yes (really doesn't matter what area is downloaded, but I was just working in this area when this happened)
  2. Turn MapDust on from the left side of the screen.
  3. Delete the MapDust layer.
  4. Turn off MapDust on the left side of the screen.
  5. Turn MapDust back on via the left side of the screen.

Expected resutls?
MapDust creates a brand new layer and reopens the "MapDust bug reports" window.

What happens?
MapDust doesn't create a new layer, but still does reopen the "MapDust bug reports" window.

The MapDust layer after it was deleted works in the following way:

  1. Turn on again the MapDust layer from the left side of the window
  2. The MapDust bug report window will appear then in the right side of the JOSM plugin.
  3. In order to see again the MapDust bugs in your area you need to press the "Refresh" (or "Filter") button.

Without pressing the "Refresh" (or "Filter" button) there will be no MapDust bugs in the map/list.
This is how the MapDust plugin works currently.

I can change the previously described MapDust workflow to the following:

  1. Delete the MapDust layer. => the MapDust bugs window will disappear from the layers dialog window.
  2. Turn on again the MapDust layer from the left side of the window.
  3. The MapDust bug report window will appear in the right side of the JOSM plugin populated automatically with the bugs from

the current view.

Pressing the "Refresh" button will not be necessary anymore.
