To trace from Bing imagery, editor needs to comply with license (available at ​http://opengeodata.org/microsoft-imagery-details )
Specifically, there needs to be logo and copyright when displaying bing imagery.
Also, some king of unique application identifier is mentioned.
Probably this concerns WMSPlugin, since JOSM is used not only for Bing tracing.
