some menu-items are not accessible if menu height > vertical screen resolution. IMHO the menu should either become scrollable or it should expand to a second column.

This problem exists at least for Ubuntu 10.04/Sun Java on screen resolutions 1376x1024 and on 1024x600 on Ubuntu 10.04 NBE.
