When asked to upload changes, JOSM 2255 ignores deleted nodes or ways. It upload everything else just fine, which sometimes results in duplicates. I've experienced this twice, both times I was working on data I downloaded on a Friday, made my changes over the weekend, and uploaded it on a Monday.

Well, the good thing is, all delete actions are still saved correctly in the OSM file, and a newer version of JOSM (eg 3037) can be used to upload them.
