Problems rendering long ways at higher zoom levels

Description

When there are very long ways in your data layer and you zoom in too far the long ways get rendered improperly, balooning up in size. In extreme cases the improperly rendered way can obscure the entire screen making editing impossible. In some cases zooming in further can clear up the issue but not always. This is particularily evident in Haiti with the boundaries of the satellite imagery but I have seen the issue in other areas like near the US/Canada border. I'll attach a couple of screenshots that demonstrate the problem.

I assume this issue is openjdk only. Please reopen if not.

I don't know about other JDKs but it certainly has fixed my problem.
