is it possible to make the increments of the editing (size, angle)smaller and more precise?

- Summary changed from PicLayer: Import of raster images (*.map, *.kal, *.geotiff) to PicLayer: Import of raster images (*.map, *.kal, *.geotiff) and calibration information (.wld, .tfw)
It really would be helpful to be able to import several calibration information - e.g. in wld or tfw format (the DOP in Bavaria come with that information).

+1 - sitting on a somewhat complex datasource for Brazil using BSB/KAP, have found tools to convert it to .tif (non-Geo) and .png, but redefining the position calibration is a PITA.

Use "gdalwarp" from gdal.org to make a geotiff from a BSB map. This will convert the embedded ground control points (GCPs) into "real" georeferencing information. it is not mandatory, but for best results try to output to the map projection the chart was made in.

ps- if you haven't found it yet, www.OpenCPN.org is absolutely brilliant for viewing those BSB files. do check it out.
