Description

Selection history doesn't remember most selections, and sometimes remembers empty or even completely wrong selections.

What do you mean with "selection history"?

The history of selections I assume. Click on the little arrow on the "Selection" button in selection dialog.

When fixed, this could be used to restore the selection on undo / redo (#3520).

Maybe this can be done in one go.
