"child selected" is slooow

Description

  1. Load up a city in JOSM
  2. Select a way
  3. Control+F -> "child selected" -> Seach

On a small-ish city (~800 ways) this takes around 3 seconds on my 2.2 GHz machine. Selecting a node and doing "parent selected" takes much faster by comparison
