Josm freezes often when changing GPX layer color

Description

Quite often when I select Customize Color for a GPX layer Josm freezes (won't redraw if I move the window etc). Not every time, but I can reproduce the problem with some effort.

Running JOSM 1979 on Ubuntu Karmic.
