error, but no Message, if a relation is containing itself

Reported by: tobhaeg@… Owned by: team
Priority: major Component: Core
Version: latest Keywords: relation error member contains itself

Description

i hab the problem, that JOSM doesn't upload my data, after i've edited some relations. After a hard piece of work, i've found a relation, which was containing itself as a member (Members of rlelation 167346: A,B,167346,D, type:route, route:bus).
I had these Problems for at least two cases. after i've deleted the Relation from the member list, everything was OK.

The main Problem:
JOSM doesn't show any message of the problem. It's only standing at "Upload Data" for a endless time.
If these Error appears, it should be shown some message, why it isn't uploading the Data.

In r1840 you can't add a relation to itself anymore.

Replying to Gubaer:

In r1840 you can't add a relation to itself anymore.

Good Step, but for me, the error happens as i have loaded a "super relation", and one of the unchanged member was containing itself.
I wish an error message for this case, too.

Thanks

  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from new to closed

Added another check in r1845. Now displays a warning about relations referring to themselfes when you open the relation editor.
