Description
For the UK can these be UK road signs rather than German road signs?

Well, first of all, IMHO we have more right hand traffic in the world, so I'll stay with the german road signs for the default display :-)
As a first step, we might try to change the mappaint rules so the turn restrictions will be displayed correctly UK specific. The next step might then be to automatically detect the country one is editing in (might be interesting for presets and other stuff as well).
Beware, the following is experimental ...
In SVN 1718 I've committed a rules file that contains GB specific additions to the "normal" mappaint display, so please have a look at:
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/JOSM/MapPaint#UK_specific_additions
and report if the road signs are now correct or not.
(BTW: A link to a wikipedia page about UK signs would be helpful)
