Via-Ways are not supported in JOSM restriction display currently. Add them.

  • Require start node at from and end node at to way?
  • Allow automatic point selection and warn only if non-directed circular way (much more complicated)?

Here ​http://osm.dev-random.de/osm-wolf/map.html?zoom=18&lat=48.88614&lon=8.71067&layers=B0T is an example, where ways for via's are usefull. It's the junktion of Sankt-Georgen-Steige and Schoferweg.
