josm does not display any gui with ratpoison

When using the ratpoison window manager, josm just turns the screen gray.

on the same computer, switching to E16 as the wm, josm works as expected.

I suspect this is the same as a bug I once filed. Turned out to be a java problem more than a josm problem: http://josm.openstreetmap.de/ticket/711

I'm sorry but we are unable to deal with side effects that occur only with special software that none of the developers is using. I understand it must be a nuisance for you but you cannot expect us to install exotic window managers (or operating systems for that matter) just to check. If you can find the probelm and submit a fix that won't break things for the mainstream we will happily apply it!
