Password dialog does not support copy and paste

What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Open Keepass2
- double click on the osm password to copy it
- Try to paste it in the JOSM upload authentication dialog, neither Ctrl+v, nor Shift+Insert work.
What is the expected result?
I am able to copy & paste my OSM password into the dialog, as it contains at least 20 characters including gibberish and it is no fun typing it and very error prone, as the log at bottom shows.
What happens instead?
I am not able to paste my password into the dialog.
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible.
