A perfectly horizontal way (on screen, that is) can only be extruded downwards, not upwards (it always grows down, even if I move the pointer up). Direction of the way doesn't matter; it only happens for perfectly horizontal ways.

I cant reproduce that in Revision 935. Some more info? Some special things.

The issue here was that the original method used to calculate the new point coordinates did not maintain sign, and then complicated madness was utilised to try and ameliorate the issue.
