file rename process unexpectedly aborts

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. open a previously saved .osm file
2. right click in the layers box
3. rename layer
4. add "/" to the name (on a Linux system - it is a illegal character in file name)
5. enable the checkbox "rename file, too"
6. OK

What is the expected result?

notification that the file name is not possible and showing the file name edit box again - with the entered, illegal file name. This way the user is able to fix the problem without loosing all his work and information of the drafted file name.

What happens instead?

notification that the file name is not possible and end of the rename process. The previously entered file name is lost. User has to start again drafting the new file name.
