Double default value of createcircle.nodecount

Circles created by "Create circle" on default setting have just 8 nodes, are ugly and not resembling circles. It is even possible to mistake it for octagon.

IMHO it would be a good idea to increase default value of createcircle.nodecount to 16 or 20.

I was mapping rounded storage tanks: result with default setting is rather bad - ​https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/288819804#map=19/50.07191/19.82136 with createcircle.nodecount bumped to 20 result is way better - see ​https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/288820493

It means that

  • createcircle.nodecount is gone ad you cannot override JOSM behavior easily
  • there should be no need for that as JOSM got smarter

as closed The owner will remain team.
as The resolution will be set.
The resolution will be deleted. Next status will be 'reopened'.

Add Comment
E-mail address and name can be saved in the Preferences .
