Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. create an imagery entry e.g. in the josm wiki
  2. add attribution-url, but no attribution-text

What is the expected result?

attribution is displayed

What happens instead?

attribution is silently hidden

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible.

The user thinks he has stated the attribution, but nothing is displayed. This happend to me already at least once when editing in the wiki. I noticed only by accident.
possible solutions:

  • display the URL as attribution
  • display a default text, e.g. "background source", similar to how it is done with terms-of-use-url
  • display a warning in ImageryCompare

I would prefer the first solution

I also implemented point 3, but have to wait till tomorrow or script run on server will fail.

One case found: * Attribution link without text: [US] Philadelphia 2015 Imagery

There is no attribution displayed for Maps/USA#Philadelphia2015Imagery in r12262. It seems r12256 is not working correctly.

Status: new → closed

Fixed in [o33340].
